For the past two decades Evoke martial arts has been the leader in age-appropriate kids karate Toronto classes in the GTA.

Our Lil’ Dragons program offer more than cliché themes like focus, confidence, or discipline.

We curated a kids’ karate Toronto program that not only provides constructive fun and martial arts skills, but also offers invaluable tools that help them unleash the best versions of themselves in every class they attend.

I've been a part of Evoke since their teen hapkido program, and as an adult in their fitness kickboxing program and there is truly no other place I'd rather go to. The environment & structure of classes at Evoke is challenging yet rewarding and I leave each class feeling stronger than before.One of the unique things about Evoke are the way their... classes are structured to provide the members with a total body workout, eliminating the need for a traditional gym. I also love how they incorporate deep breathing sessions at the end of certain workouts for a proper cool down and to get in touch with your body and build that muscle-mind connection. I have left certain classes feeling humbled by the combos, which gives me more motivation to keep going back and getting better at the moves.Lastly, my favorite thing about the club are the instructors Miss Tess, Elona and Master Dayo who are exceptional at their jobs. They are supportive, but don't hesitate to push members to their best potential, all the while remaining kind and encouraging. My almost 9 yo had such a great time at Evoke summer camp in August. They were good at keeping kids busy and my kid was so excited to show us new martial arts skills everyday. Drop off and pick up were also very smooth and efficient, and all staffs were professional and welcoming. We Will definitely come back next summer.

I think it’s a great place for martial arts. The instructors are great and so kind. It’s a great place for birthday parties and summer camp. In general, the place is very clean and the instructors sanitize the mats after every class. The classes are split into age groups, which I think is cool. It’s a great place to make friends. My daughter had an amazing time during March break. She loved the obstacle courses, the mission impossible race, and the pizza party. This is by far one of the best kids parties we’ve ever hosted. We have celebrated both of our kids party here. It is an amazing experience for the kids. They are kept active with none stop games and make sure the birthday child is the center of the party! Can’t recommend enough.

There are other kids martial arts program offered across the city and closer to home, but what Evoke offers here is something I haven’t seen in other programs. They are compassionate and kind in their teachings but yet expect individuals to focus and give their all. Why some are skeptical about Kids Karate Classes:

The challenge with many kids karate Toronto classes is that they aren’t organically organized to be age-appropriate, or they simply focus on the art of Karate.
We step up and fill in the gaps. There are also separate classes for 4 -5 year olds, and 6 – 7 year olds; making sure your child is appropriately challenged.

What’s different about Kids Karate Toronto classes at Evoke?

Our age-appropriate lessons incorporate movement from martial arts disciplines like taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, hapkido, and karate. It is designed to help enhance motor skills and athletic performance in children ages 4 to 7.

FAQs About Evoke’s Kids Karate Toronto Classes:

No. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Martial arts teaches kids self control and non-violent approaches to resolving conflict. Our age-appropriate curriculum is also designed to use language and teaching concepts that is relevant to their specific stages of development and growth.

Sure. We have lots of girls in our Lil’ Dragon program, and a good number of our instructors are also female. Our Kids Karate classes are great for boys and girls.

Yes. They are also beginner-friendly. Your child’s safety and well-being is always a priority in the way we structure the classes and organize their lessons.

Having taught kids for 20+ years, we have found that 3 year olds are still quite young for our Lil’ Dragon program. We recommend waiting till they are past 4 years old, and have at the least started JK.

Joining a kids karate Toronto class at age 4+ will be enable them to get a lot more out of their classes, and have a much more rewarding experience.

As a parent we recognize that you want to make sure that we are a good fit, and avoid a situation when your kid doesn’t want to attend.

This is partly why we also offer a 3-week trial that is a great way to have your child attend a few classes before deciding to commit to a membership.

Yes we do. There are separate classes for older kids (ages 8 – 12) and also for teenagers (ages 13 – 17).
